Membership Levels Requirements


	Membership Levels

	*"Full Active Member"* shall be defined as any individual actively and currently employed for at least five (5) years in commercial real estate or a "qualified field of Commercial real estate" and employed full time in a professional position, the primary responsibilities of which are in a "qualified field of commercial real estate". A "qualified field of commercial real estate" shall include any of the following when conducted in connection with commercial real estate: accounting, acquisitions, appraisal, architecture, asset management, construction, consulting, development, engineering, finance, institutional lending, interior design/space planning, investments, law, leasing, marketing, market research, mortgage banking/brokerage, property management, sales brokerage, syndication and title/escrow services, and such other fields as may from time to time be approved by the Board of Directors. For the purposes of the foregoing, the term "Commercial real estate" shall mean income producing real property and real property held for investment. Services rendered in connection with the sale or transfer of individual residential units shall not be considered to relate to commercial real estate but instead shall be considered to relate to residential real estate. Full Active Members shall be entitled to all of the rights, benefits and privileges of membership in the organization, including but not limited to, voting and serving as a member of the Board of Directors.


	*"Associate Member"* shall meet the same qualifications as a Full Active Member, but shall be actively and currently employed in commercial real estate or a qualified field of commercial real estate for more than two(2) but less than five (5) consecutive years, immediately preceding the date such Associate Member is admitted. Associate Members shall be entitled to all of the rights, benefits and privileges of membership in the organization, including the right to vote, but shall not be eligible to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.


	*"Candidate Member"* shall meet the same qualifications as a Full Active Member, but shall be actively and currently employed in commercial real estate or a qualified field of commercial real estate for two (2) years or less, immediately preceeding the date such Candidate Member is admitted. A Candidate shall be entitled to all of the rights, benefits and privileges of membership in the organization, but shall not be entitled to vote or be eligible to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.


	*"Vendor Member"* shall be employed full time in a position, the primary professional responsibilities of which relate to, benefit or support commercial real estate and supplies a service or physical product related to commercial real estate, including but not limited to roofing, carpeting, landscaping, painting, furniture fields, or such other related fields as the Board of Directors may determine from time to time. The number of years that a Vendor Member is active in such profession is not a factor in determining qualifications within this class of membership. The Board of Directors may set higher dues for Vendor Members than other classes of membership and/or other requirements as the Board of Directors may determine from time to time. A Vendor Member shall not be entitled to vote or be eligible to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.


	*"Retired Member"* shall be a Full Active Member who is no longer working full time, but who wants to remain involved in the Corporation and connected to its members. A Retired Member shall not be entitled to vote or be eligible to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.


	*"Student Member"* shall be enrolled full time in an undergraduate or graduate college or university program, pursuing educational goals intended to lead to a career in a commercial real estate field. A Student Member shall not be entitled to vote or be eligible to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.


	"Dual Member" For individuals who are already a member of another CREW Chapter, a dual membership is available for $145.00. When applying, please indicate your main chapter.


	By Invitation Only -- Membership Levels

	*"Civic/Media Member"* shall be involved in local or regional government, other public agencies, universities, other educational institutions or not-for-profit organizations or a member of the media, who may or may not meet primary responsibility or experience requirement, but their admission as a member of the Corporation furthers the purposes of the Corporation and benefits the members, such as political leaders, economic development agencies, professors, print or broadcast journalists, real estate business writers or technical members of the print or broadcast media. A Civic/Media Member shall not be entitled to vote or be eligible to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.


	"Custom Active Member" shall meet the same qualifications as a Full Active Member; however, at the determination of the Board of Directors, may be able to qualify for membership without attending a requisite number of meetings and may pay a lower amount for dues. Custom Active Member shall include Lifetime Members, Honorary Members, Emeritus Members, or other special categories as may be determined by the Board of Directors from time to time. A Custom Active Member shall be entitled to all of the rights, benefits and privileges of membership in the organization, including but not limited to, voting and serving as a member of the Board of Directors.


	"Custom Inactive Member" shall meet the same qualifications as a Full Active Member but need not be currently involved in a qualified field of commercial real estate, including Lifetime Members, Honorary Members, Emeritus Members, or other special categories as may be determined by the Board of Directors from time to time. A Custom Inactive Member shall not be entitled to vote or be eligible to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.
