Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is responsible for the recruitment of new members and retention of existing members of CREW-LA, as well as being responsible for membership applications, reference checks and all activities that involve gaining membership.
We have a great group of committee members who play vital roles by increasing involvement of current members as well as overall membership.
As part of the membership committee, the group is responsible for planning quarterly membership events with the goal of recruiting new members and increasing awareness about the organization. The committee is also responsible for making the application process and transition from non-member to member, effortless.
Member Services Committee
The Member Services Committee is responsible for the development and provision of services to members to increase the value of membership. On occasion, Membership Services coordinates with Membership to enhance the membership experience and networking opportunities.
Member Services has scheduled 4 major events for 2007 – New Member Reception, “Creating Your Personal Marketing plan”, and “Green” followed by a tour of an area in the city. Members will be given the opportunity to “Dine Around” in smaller settings during the months in which there aren’t any core events. Members of the committee will be researching venues for the remaining events that are not yet scheduled.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee is responsible for researching and implementing creative, effective ways of connecting internally with CREW-LA members, and externally between CREW-LA and the commercial real estate industry regarding the goals of CREW-LA, committee goals, and topics of interest. This is accomplished through publishing a quarterly newsletter, capitalizing on public relations opportunities, ensuring the website is current, and crafting an annual marketing campaign.
Programs Committee
The Programs Committee is responsible for shaping the future of Commercial Real Estate Women – Los Angeles through innovate and informative programming events.
Join our committee and you will find it to be a fantastic way for you to meet more CREW-LA members in a smaller group atmosphere. Being a part of the committee will afford you with the opportunities of meeting key players in the commercial real estate industry through organizing events and securing them as a speaker for our events.
Sponsorship Committee
The Sponsorship Committee is responsible for identifying and soliciting annual corporate sponsors as well as sponsors for key events. The Committee is also responsible for assisting in the fund raising and funding of the $100,000 principal for CREW-LA Ziman Center Fellowship Endowment Fund for UCLA Anderson School of Management and the Richard S. Ziman Center for Real Estate at UCLA.
National Delegates Committee
The National Delegates Committee shall represent and act for or vote on behalf of CREW-LA at all council meetings of the CREW Network (the national organization of which we are a part). There are two National Delegates with staggered, two-year terms. National Delegates travel three times per year.
Women At The Top
This is CREW's annual event to nominate and honor women in the commercial real estate industry. Names of potential honorees are obtained from membership and are then chosen based on accomplishments and contributions to the real estate industry. The moderator for the evening event is chosen based on membership suggestions and often high-profile individual within the Los Angeles Basin .
The various positions on the committee include the following tasks: 1) coordination of information between members, honorees, graphic designer, public relations, and administrative assistant; 2) write press releases and advertising for event; 3) venue and coordinate a/v needs; 4) event planning; 5) create invitations; 6) floral displays; 7) sponsorship; 8) budgeting;) gifts for honorees and moderator;) oversee registration; and 11) design final questions.
