Trudi Lesser is a highly regarded commercial real estate and finance attorney with over 25 years of practice, working exclusively in commercial real estate law for the last 14 years. She counsels property owners, developers and lenders in the acquisition and disposition of real estate and related assets, leasing, finance, workouts, foreclosures, and real estate asset management. She also represents landlords and tenants in all types of leasing transactions. Her extensive experience covers various types of real estate including retail, office, hospitality, industrial, multifamily and mixed-use properties.
Ms. Lesser acquired her real estate expertise through years of training at several top-ranked national and regional law firms; Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell, Allen Matkins, and Andrews & Kurth. In 2009, she founded her own practice to offer the expertise of a large firm background at reasonable rates and prompt, efficient responses to the myriad needs of her diverse clients.
Ms. Lesser offers more to her clients than simply the knowledge of a seasoned lawyer. She becomes an integral part of her client’s business team by understanding their business goals and expectations, knowing where each transaction fits into their overall business plan, and crafting creative, unique solutions to overcome obstacles necessary to complete the deal.
CREW Involvement: Ms. Lesser is a long time member of Commercial Real Estate Women, Los Angeles (CREW-LA), where she has served on the Board of Directors for the last seven years and is the 2012 President. She was the 2011 Chair for CREW-LA Women at the Top, celebrating the success of women in commercial real estate, a National Delegate for the LA Chapter in 2010 and was the chair of the Wine Tasting/Silent Auction charitable fundraising event in 2009.
Ms. Lesser is also an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association where she is a member of the Executive Committee for the Real Property Section. She chaired the Allied Associations Outreach for the 2011 Crocker Real Estate Conference. Ms. Lesser is a sought-after speaker on legal and business issues. She has made a number of presentations to the Los Angeles County Bar on the subjects related to real estate finance, leasing and development. In June, 2011, she was on a networking panel at the National Spring Leadership Conference for CREW Network. She has also lectured at UCLA and is a published author.
Education: Ms. Lesser holds a juris doctor degree from the University of Southern California Law Center, where she was Editor of the Entertainment Law Journal and chaired the Entertainment Law Society. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany, where she graduated magna cum laude.
Ms. Lesser is an enthusiastic alpine skier, beach volleyball and tennis player and enjoys wine tasting. |
