Catherine Holmes is a partner with the law firm of Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell, where she has practiced law for over 30 years. She is a senior member of JMBM's Global Hospitality Group®, Chinese Investment Group and Corporate Group. In the hospitality industry, Catherine assists hotel owners and developers with hotel financings, hotel management and franchise agreements, hotel and resort purchase and sale transactions, hotel brand and business acquisitions and condo hotel regime structuring. In the Chinese Investment Group, she works with inbound investments from China to the United States, particularly in hotel and real estate acquisitions and developments and in the EB-5 investment visa program. In the financial and investment services business, she represents private investment fund managers, investment advisers, securities brokers and real estate brokers in connection with securities offerings and regulatory compliance.
Ms. Holmes has written numerous articles regarding the hospitality and finance industries, and is often a speaker at hospitality and finance conferences and seminars.
Ms. Holmes received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 1974 from the University of California Berkeley, and received her J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley, in 1977.
CREW Involvement: Ms. Holmes has been a member of Commercial Real Estate Women, Los Angeles (CREW-LA) since 2010. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of CREW-LA and Co-Vice President of the Member Services Committee of CREW-LA.
Ms. Holmes has four delightful, interesting and extremely talented adult children, the youngest of whom is a first year law student at UCLA. |
